IITGN extends application deadline for summer research internship program

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for IITGN summer research internship program by March 10, 2023. The internship also offers lecture series, chalk-the-talk sessions, cultural activities, and sports sessions, plus a stipend of INR 2,000 per week.

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) has extended application deadline for its flagship summer research internship program (SRIP). The internship allows undergraduate and postgraduate students to work on cutting-edge research problems for eight weeks under the guidance of IITGN faculty members. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by March 10, 2023. Earlier, the last date to apply for IITGN summer research internship program was March 5, 2023. 

Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a prominent institution in India can apply for the internship, which will be conducted in offline mode. The students are expected to work on the project in-person and interact with the faculty mentor on a regular basis while staying on campus.The interns will be entitled to receive a stipend and a certificate on successful completion of the internship.   

As the official website of the institute, applicants may apply for internship based on their interests and prior experience. They are free to apply for projects outside of their declared degree specialisations. They will be required to make a presentation to the institute and submit a report at the end of the tenure.  

Summer Research Excellence Award   

This year, a total of 109 projects have been floated, covering wide-ranging topics. In addition to the research experience, SRIP offers lecture series, chalk-the-talk sessions, cultural activities, and sports sessions, plus a stipend of INR 2,000 per week. Moreover, three students will get a chance to receive the Summer Research Excellence Award (SREA) of INR 50,000 each for remarkable research during the internship.
