IMU CET 2023 Application Form Last Date is May 18; Check Important Details

The last date to apply for the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is May 18. The online application form is available for admission in courses like BTech (Marine Engineering) and BTech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering). Know details of online registrations here.

Candidates interested in admission to BTech (Marine Engineering) and BTech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) courses offered at  Indian Maritime University have to apply for IMU CET 2023 by May 18. IMU CET 2023 will be held in CBT mode on June 10. The online application form is available on the official website, imu.edu.in/imuadmissions.

The IMU CET admit card to the registered candidates will be issued on May 26. Candidates have to login using their IMU CET 2023 login details to download the admit card. The allotted exam centre and all exam instructions will be mentioned on the admit card.

Eligibility to Apply for IMU CET 2023 for admission to BTech Marine Engineering

To apply for BTech Marine Engineering course candidates must adhere to the below eligibility norms:

• 10 2 or equivalent (PCM-60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination)
• Medical fitness certificate in the prescribed format issued by a Medical Officer approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.
• Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for this program.
• Candidates seeking admission are strongly recommended to have a passport.
• Maximum age limit Male: (a) General: 25years (b) OBC (NCL): 28 years (c) SC/ST: 30 years
• Maximum age limit Female: (a) Gen: 27 years (b) OBC (NCL): 30 years (c) SC/ST: 32 years

To apply for this course, the candidates must satisfy the below conditions:

• 10 2 or equivalent (PCM-60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination.)
• Maximum age limit Male: (a) General: 25years (b) OBC (NCL): 28 years (c) SC/ST: 30 years
• Maximum age limit Female: (a) Gen: 27 years (b) OBC (NCL): 30 years (c) SC/ST: 32 years

How to Apply for IMU CET 2023

The steps to apply for IMU CET 2023 are as follows:

• Visit the official website of the exam which is, imu.edu.in/imuadmissions.
• Next, the candidates have to acces the link for “IMU CET (For UG / MBA / MTech)”.
• After that, candidates have to click on the link for “New Users Click Here For Basic Registration”
• Thera after candidates have to read the instructions that appear on the screen and click on the button “proceed to registration”.
• Candidates have to then complete the registration form.
• Thereafter candidates have to fill up the form, upload the necessary documents and pay the fee.

The application fee for IMU CET 2023 is INR 1000 for all general candidates and INR 700 for SC/ST candidates.

The syllabus of IMU CET 2023 is English, General Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (12th Grade / Plus 2 level/Intermediate/Equivalent level). There will be 200 MCQs in the exam from these subjects.
