The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has started the IMU CET 2024 spot counselling round registrations. The last date to register is August 5 and the certificate verification will be done on August 6. The candidates, who are registering for spot counselling will have to mandatorily report in person preferably at the preferred campus or any IMU Campus for certificate verification. IMU has also released the vacancy seat matrix. The vacant seats will be filled during the spot counselling. The process of spot counselling will be on IMU CET 2024 rank and merit basis, following reservation guidelines. 

The candidates who registered earlier by paying a counselling fee of INR 10,000 and did not get any seats can register for spot counselling. These candidates should carry the DDs for First Semester, Caution Deposit and Programme Fee. UG candidates with CUET scores can participate in spot counselling even if they have not qualified in IMU CET 2024.

Documents to be Produced in IMu CET 2024 Spot Counselling Round for Verification

Candidates have to produce the below given documents when they appear for the spot counselling round in person:

  1. Proof of Age – Birth Certificate / 10th Std / SSC or equivalent Mark sheet
  2. 12th / Higher Secondary School or equivalent Marksheet
  3. Community Certificate (Only for SC, ST, OBC-NCL / GEN – EWS)
  4. Printed Copy of IMU’s CET Rank Certificate
  5. 2 Copies of Passport size Photographs
  6. Aadhaar Card
  7. NCC Certificate (if applicable)
  8. UG Mark sheets / Certificate (if applicable)
  9. Applicable Medical Fitness Certificate

Q:   Can I join IMU Kolkata directly?

A:

Interested candidates must register online for IMU CET through the official registration portal available on the university website for admission to various UG and PG programs offered by IMU and its associated institutes. Payment fees must be paid online through a credit/debit card, net-banking.

 Admission Through IMU CET 2023
Admission to Indian Maritime University, Kolkata is open through IMU CET 2023 (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) which is a national level entrance examination. Through this exam, aspirants are eligible for admission in various B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc, MBA, and BBA programmes offered by the university. Additionally, all aspiring BTech candidates must clear a physical fitness test as per DG Shipping regulations in order to be eligible for admission into the institute. The exam is held once every year by the Indian Maritime University.

 

Q:   What is the IMU CET counselling registration process?

A:

Candidates who have been issued with IMU CET Rank Certificate are provided with a portal through which they can select the Programme (s) and the Campus (es) where they desire to take admission. Candidates have to register on this portal by making an online payment of INR 10,000/- towards the Counselling Fee. The Counselling Fee is nonrefundable if a seat is allotted on any campus in any programme; else INR 9000 will get refunded. The Candidate should choose multiple options in the order of their preference for:

  • Programmes (Based on fulfilment of eligibility conditions)

Q:   Does IMU - IMU Navi Mumbai Indian Maritime University accept JEE score?

No, you cannot join IMUC directly. To qualify for admission to the university, you must pass the IMUC entrance exam. Every year in May or June, the IMUC entrance exam is held. There are a limited number of places available in each program, therefore the IMUC entrance exam is a competitive exam.
