Engineering is one of the most sought after careers in India. The aspiring candidates can apply in one of the best engineering colleges of India. The Ministry of Education released the eighth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023. The rankings are based on previous seven annual rankings, announced between the year 2016 and 2022.

The ranking covers research institutions, degree colleges, and discipline-specific ranks in engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, dental and architecture and planning. NIRF Ranking 2023 were announced just before the admission season and the parameters to decide the rankings were Teaching Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcome; Outreach and Inclusivity; and Perception.
