JEE Advanced 2024 is Next Step After JEE Main Result; Know Expected Cutoff

JEE Advanced 2024 exam date is May 26. NTA has also announced the JEE Main 2024 session 1 result. The candidates who score more than 98 percentile in JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam can straight away start preparation for JEE Advanced 2024.
To know whether candidates should prepare for JEE Advanced 2024 or should reappear in JEE mains 2024 session 2 exam, they must analyse the cutoff. After the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam, the experts feel that the cutoff may rise. However, candidates must take note that the NTA JEE Main cutoff for JEE Advanced 2024 will be dependent on both sessions of JEE Mains 2024. Thus the cutoff cannot be predicted now.
However, the expert feels that this year the JEE Mains cutoff for JEE Adavced can be General - 89+, EWS - 78+, OBC - 74+, SC - 44+, and PwD - 0.11+.
JEE Advanced 2024 registrations will begin at jeeadv.ac.an on April 21. The top 2.5 lakh candidates of the JEE Main AIR list will be allowed to apply for the Advanced exam.
Should You Appear for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Exam?
JEE Main 2024 session 2 registrations are open at jeemain.nta.ac.in. The session 2 exams will be held between April 4 to 15. Candidates who score more than 98 percentile in JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam, can start preparation for JEE Advanced 2024.
Candidates who score between 95 to 98 percentile, must try to improve their JEE Main session 1 score by taking a lot of JEE Main mock tests and practising the JEE Main previous year's question paper. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses, identify areas where they have performed well, and pinpoint topics or subjects where you struggled. If they can score full marks in the practice sessions, then they can start their preparation for JEE Advanced. If they cannot score full marks in these sessions, then they should go for the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam.
Candidates who score less than 95 percentile in JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam must start preparation for JEE Main 2024 session 2.
