Prabhav Khandelwal, JEE Main Rank: AIR 61 has secured AIR 6 in JEE Advanced 2023 Results. He scored 325 / 360 marks.

On June 18, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati announced the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced). Out of 1,89,744 registered candidates, 43,773 qualified JEE Advanced with Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy of IIT Hyderabad zone topping the list.

Prabhav Khandelwal, AIR 6, JEE Main Rank: AIR 61 was a student of FIITJEE One Year Live Online Classroom Program (Class XII) and has secured AIR 6 in JEE Advanced 2023 results. He scored 325 / 360 marks. Prabhav Khandelwal is also a NTSE Scholar. He also qualified IJSOC & INMO.

Speaking to Shiksha.com, Pranav shares his preparation strategy...

Q: Congratulations on your result! What was your reaction when you came to know about your rank?

A. I felt very good when I came to know about my rank from my teachers.

Q: When and how did you decide to pursue B.Tech?

A. From an early age I was interested in Mathematics so I decided to pursue B.Tech.

Q: Tell us something about your family, schooling, etc.

A. I did my schooling from Disha Delphi Public School, Kota from class 9-12.

Q: When did you start preparing for JEE and what was the strategy?

A. I started preparing for JEE in class 11th.

Q: What was your strong and weak areas?

A. My strong areas were calculus, mechanics, modern physics, electrodynamics and weak topics were inorganic chemistry, wave optics.

Q: Which books did you refer to for NEET?

A. I referred HC Verma and Irodov for Physics and sticked to my coaching material for chemistry and mathematics.

Q: When did you start taking full-length JEE mock tests?

A. I started taking full length mock tests from December 2022.

Q: What was your exam taking strategy?

A. In the exam, I did chemistry first and then moved on to Physics and Mathematics as it saves time.

Q: During your rigorous preparation journey, how did you unwind yourself?

A. In my free time, I used to play table tennis or talk with my friends.

Q: What are your plans after completing B.Tech?

A. I have still not thought about my plans after B.Tech

Q: Your suggestion for next year’s JEE takers

A. My suggestion for next year's JEE takers is that they should focus on reducing their silly mistakes in the mock tests and maintain consistency.
