JEE Main 2020 admit card to be released soon; know how to download
National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2020 admit card on or after August 15 for the second session. As per the notification by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the JEE Mains admit card 2020 is scheduled to release 15 days prior to the entrance test. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download the JEE Main admit card 2020 from official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will have two options to download JEE Main admit card – by entering their registered application number and password or date of birth.
JEE Main is a national level entrance test conducted twice a year. This year, the JEE Main 2020 April session has been postponed due to COVID-19 epidemic in the country. The JEE Main 2020 April exam is now scheduled to be held from September 1 to 6 in online mode.

How to download JEE Main admit card 2020?
- Visit the official website of JEE Main 2020 –jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on JEE Main admit card download link
- There will be two options to choose from:
- Download admit card through application number and password or
- Download admit card through application number and date of birth
- Choose the desired option and on the login page enter application number, password/date of birth and security code
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen
- Save and take a printout of it for further reference
Details to be mentioned on JEE Main admit card 2020
After the release of JEE Main admit card candidates are advised to check the details mentioned on it. The following information will be mentioned on the admit card:
- Name
- Father’s Name
- Gender
- Category
- Date and shift of exam
- Application number
- Course name
- State of Eligibility
- Roll number
- Date of birth
- Candidate’s photograph and signature
- Test city and code
- Parent’s signature
- PwD status
- Paper
- Important instructions
JEE Main 2020 Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates cannot change their JEE Main exam centres after downloading admit card
- Aspirants will not be able allowed to carry pencil/pen to the examination hall
- Diabetic candidates will be allowed to bring their eatables such as fruits, sugar tablets and a transparent bottle to the examination hall. No packaged food will be permitted at the exam centre
- COVID-19 protocol will be followed at each of the centres
- Candidates cannot leave the examination hall before the conclusion of the test.
The authority is yet to release COVID-19 precautionary measures to appear in the exam. However, candidates must carry any one of the prescribed documents along with JEE Main 2020 admit card to the JEE Main 2020 exam centre. Candidates who will not bring these will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
As per JEE Main exam pattern 2020, the exam will comprise three sections – BE/BTech, BArch and BPlan. Duration of the test is 3 hours. The test paper will have objective type questions and numerical based questions. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded while 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect responses in the objective questions. There is no negative marking for numerical based questions.
