JEE Main 2023: #JEEAfterBoards trends on Twitter as clamour to postpone exam grows
JEE Main 2023: Students have been seeking postponement of JEE Main first session as it clashes with students’ pre-board and board examinations.
The demand for postponing JEE Main 2023 continues to grow as more and more students have taken to microblogging site Twitter to express their concerns. As JEE Main 2023 Session 1 is scheduled to be held between January 24 and 31, several students are trending the hashtag, #JEEAfterBoards, on Twitter seeking postponement of the exam as it clashes with students’ pre-board and board examinations in the same month.
The All India Student’s Union (AISU), a student body that has submitted a representation to the Ministry of Education on behalf of those seeking postponement of JEE Main 2023, tweeted, “It’s a humble Request to @DG_NTA. Students are facing huge mental stress. They couldn't get enough time to prepare, as the session was delayed. Kindly Reschedule the dates, and conduct #jeemains2023 Session-1 in April. #JEEafterBoards.”
A student wrote, “#JEEAfterBoards it's a humble request to please postpone jee main session 1 to April @DG_NTA @EduMinOfIndia @narendramodi @narendramodi please try to understand our condition #JEEMain2023inApril #jeemainsinapril #JEEAfterBoards,” while another tweeted, “#JEEAfterBoards There's alot of anxiety among us students because of this illogical Baseless date announcement. Please reschedule jee main 2023 dates. @DG_NTA @IITGuwahati @PMOIndia @Swamy39 @EduMinOfIndia.”
JEE Main Session 1 will be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, while JEE Main Session 2 is scheduled to be conducted on April 06, 08, 10, 11, and 12. Meanwhile, a PIL was filed in the Bombay High Court seeking the rescheduling of JEE Main 2023 scheduled in January to a convenient date in April 2023. The plea, which was filed by activist Anubha Srivastava Sahai, said the notification for the JEE Main exam was issued on a short notice and the same would cause difficulties to students. The Bombay High Court has today agreed to hear the plea on January 4.
