JEE Main 2023 Students Allotted Exam Centres Against Preferred Choice; Ask NTA to fix issue
Many aspirants of the NTA Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main are worried that they may not be able to reach their exam centres, as they have been allocated centres that are too far away.
Several students who are readying to appear for the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 across the country are put to great inconvenience. They are not being allotted exam centre of their choice. Many students who have chosen Ballia, Mau Ghazipur and Varanasi as their preferred exam centre are being allotted Dehradun, which is a city in another state. Students have taken to Twitter to express their anguish over their inability to travel long distances to appear for the exam.
The National Testing Agency has revised the JEE Main 2023 exam date first attempt. The revised schedule for the session 1 exam is January 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 and February 1 (Paper 1) and January 28 (Paper 2). As per the earlier schedule, NTA JEE Main exam date 2023 session 1 was January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. NTA will release JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Admit cards this week!
Students in a dilemma whether to take exam or skip it
Travelling too much to appear for an exam often creates nervousness. One student tweeted, “Rqst frm @DG_NTA related to jee mains exam centre. I'm a student of BSEB nd have 12th exam from 1st Feb. The prblm is that i've been allotted the centre in Jaipur but i'ven't selected jaipur in choice cities. If i go to jaipur I can miss my Board papers that is from 1st Feb,” while another wrote, “@himantabiswa Sir, my son registered for JEE 23 EXAM prefered centre as Guwahati nd exam date 24th Jan,23 nd his HS final is 20th Feb,23 but NTA allowed centre as Dibrugarh which too costly nd time taking as I am 4m Dhubri.I need your support.
Students alloted centres outside state
Echoing similar concerns, a student wrote, “@jee_mains @DG_NTA Exam Centre in Dibrugarh? There is no centre in Dibrugarh. kindly fix this issue if its error or give notification about this. There are four students that i know whose centre is in Dibrugarh,” while another rued, “JEE (Main) Application No. 230310772938. The centre allotted for #JEEMains exam is not even among the choices opted while filling out the form. The centres opted were Ballia, Mau Ghazipur and Varanasi. However the centre allotted is Dehradun which is city of another state. @DG_NTA.”
