NTA has released the JEE Main city intimation slip for BE/BTech on January 17 and for BArch/BPlan on January 12. The exam city intimation slip is not the admit card.

Through the JEE Main 2024 city intimation slip, candidates have been notified about:

With these details, candidates can plan their travel and accommodation needs for the exam day. The exact exam centre name and address will be made available through the JEE Mains admit card 2024.

Registration for JEE Mains 2024 Session 2 will commence on February 2, and the application form link will be available on the NTA website. The last date to submit the JEE Main Application form 2024 for session 2 is March 2.

• JEE Main aspirants will not be allowed to carry any item other than those mentioned on the admit card.

• Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination room

• Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of the sheet and return the sheets and admit card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination hall

• Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits and transparent water bottles to the examination hall/room. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches, etc.

• Candidates will have to sit on the seat allocated to them

• Candidates will be allowed to appear at the allotted venue of the test only

• Wearing a watch inside the exam hall is not allowed

• No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre once the exam starts

• Candidates without an admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam

• Leaving the exam hall before closure/end of the exam is not permitted

• Request for change in JEE Main 2024 exam centres will not be entertained

The official link for JEE main 2024 candidate login is jeemain.ntaonline.in.

JEE Main 2024 paper 2 will be held on January 24 in the second shift, that is from 3 pm to 6 pm. There will be no exam in shift 1 in the first shift on January 24.

On the other hand, JEE Main 2024 paper 1 exams will be held on January 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. The BTech paper will be held in 2 shifts each day that is 9 am to 12 pm and then from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Candidates have to download the JEE Main hall ticket as soon as NTA activates the link. The admit card will be available under the login of the candidates. Keep JEE Main application number and password/date of birth ready to download the hall ticket.

• Visit your JEE Main exam centre a day before the exam to familiarise yourself with the location and assess factors like time and distance.

• Ensure you reach the test centre at least half an hour before the reporting time mentioned in your JEE Main 2024 Admit Card. Candidates, reporting after the gate closes, will not be allowed to enter the test venue. Candidates will be undergoing various mandatory processes, thus reaching on time is important.

From the above table, it is clear that candidates need to score around the 90 percentile to have a chance to be eligible for JEE Advanced. The cutoff score of JEE Main for JEE Advanced has always stayed in the range of 87 to 90 percentile for the CRL.

The exam date for JEE Main Session 1 is January January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2024 for BTech. For BArch and BPlan the exam date is January 24.

There is a possibility that candidates might face problems in the JEE Main login window at the time of downloading their JEE Main admit card 2024 due to any unforeseen reason. There may be some other errors that students can face while the JEE Main admit card 2024 is downloaded. The problem in downloading the JEE Main admit card may be due to slow internet connectivity, server problems, or wrong login credentials. 

A candidate cannot request a change in the exam centre as allotted in JEE Main admit card and city intimation slip. Request for change in JEE Main 2024 exam centres will not be entertained.

Wearing a watch inside the exam hall is not allowed inside JEE Main 2024 exam hall.

The below given items are not allowed at the JEE Main exam hall:

It is allowed to bring food and drinks, including water bottles, into the exam centre for diabetic patients. This allowance is granted to diabetic candidates in consideration of their health conditions. Diabetic students must bring the following items with them into the examination hall: fruits, sugar tablets, and a transparent water bottle. Please note that packaged foods such as chips, chocolates, sandwiches, etc. are not permitted.

Besides JEE Main 2024 admit card, students need to carry the following items to the exam centre:

• Self-Declaration Undertaking: Candidates will have to carry a printed copy of the self-declaration undertaking, which is a part of admit card downloaded from NTA’s website

• Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) –

Note: For BArch paper, candidates must bring their own geometry set, colour pencils, erasers and pencils. No watercolours are required

It is not mandatory to carry a color printout of the JEE Main admit card to the exam center. As per the official notice, candidates are required to bring a printout of the admit card along with an original Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the admit card. Candidates must carry the admit card in every session to gain entry to the exam center. It is important to keep the admit card safe until the final result is declared as it is required for the admission process.
