JEE Main 2024 April 4 Exam Starts, Check Guidelines To Follow in Session 2 BTech Paper
The JEE Main 2024 exam for paper I for BE/BTech aspirants is being conducted in two shifts: from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 to 6 pm respectively. Those appearing for the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam must check the reporting time and guidelines that have to be followed.
JEE Main 2024 April 4 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the JEE Main 2024 shift 1 from 9 AM today on April 4. The JEE Main shift 1 will conclude at 12 PM, whereas shift 2 will begin at 3 PM. The exam is being held for 3 hours for admission to BE/BTech courses.
Candidates must note that NTA has advised especially those who did not apply through DigiLocker and ABC ID, to reach the exam centre an hour before the entry time for verification. Those who have opted for authentication through non-Aadhaar have also been asked to reach the exam centre an hour before the commencement of JEE Main April session shift 1 and 2.
While going for the JEE Main 2024 April 4 exam, they must carry their original ID (school Identity card, PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport, or Aadhaar card). They must follow the JEE Main exam day guidelines released by NTA.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must follow the below-mentioned guidelines while going for JEE Main session 2 exam:
- Candidates must reach the exam venue by the reporting time specified for the JEE Mains exam
- They will not be allowed entry into the JEE Main 2024 exam centre after the gate closing time
- Candidates are requested not to carry prohibited items such as phones, study materials, or any unauthorised items inside the exam centre
- Before reaching the JEE Main exam centres, candidates must fill out the self-declaration form, paste their passport-sized photograph, and put the left-hand thumb impression in the provided space
- Diabetic candidates can bring sugar tablets, fruits, and clear water bottles. Packed foods like chocolates or sandwiches are not permitted
