Physics
Many students found the Physics section easy. Topics such as Mechanics, Current Electricity, Optics, Modern Physics, and Waves were well-represented. However, questions from AC, EMI, and Magnetism were notably absent. The inclusion of some PYQs (previous year questions) provided familiarity for prepared students.
Chemistry

Mathematics

According to student feedback, the difficulty level across sections can be ranked as: Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry.
Despite the challenges in Mathematics, the paper was balanced and could be completed within the stipulated time with proper preparation.

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 Result date session 1. As per the schedule, NTA will declare the JEE Main Result 2025 by February 12. Candidates need to use the JEE Mains Result login at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and password/date of birth to check their JEE Main session 1 result 2025. Along with the result, NTA will also announce the percentile score of candidates in each subject and in aggregate.

JEE Main dress code for female
The JEE Main 2025 dress code has not been officially specified NTA. However, candidates must follow some guidelines on their own to have a problem-free checking process at the JEE Main exam centres. Some guidelines that the candidates can follows are:
What to wear:
- Wear simple, plain and comfortable clothes to avoid undergoing exhaustive checking.
- Try wearing half-sleeved clothes that are light and do not have many drapes.
- Complicated hairstyles or clothing will lead to a longer frisking session.
- If you wear any religious attire please reach out before the time for thorough frisking.
What not to wear:
- Avoid wearing clothes that have metal attached to them (underwired bras, belts etc).
- Avoid wearing any kind of jewellery or other accessories.
- Do not wear long-sleeved clothes or attires/trousers with too many pockets/deep pockets.
- Do not wear shoes with thick soles. Candidates wearing shoes have to face longer frisking/checking procedures. Wear sandals/slippers.
- Do not wear garments with large buttons.
- Do not wear fancy stoles, scarves, watches, sunglasses etc.

JEE Main 2025 January session day 1 live: JEE Main instructions 2025
- Candidates must carry their JEE Main session 1 admit card on A4 size paper
- They must carry one passport-size photograph (same as uploaded with the application form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet
- A valid Photo ID Proof original (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/12th Class admit card
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under the PwD category
- If a candidate goes for bio-break /toilet, they should undergo the mandatory frisking and biometrics again
- Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided. Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of each of the sheets.
- They must drop the sheets in the designated drop box without fail, before leaving the exam hall
- The candidate should ensure that the question paper available on the computer screen is as per their opted subject/medium. In case, the subject/medium of the question paper is other than their opted subject/medium, the same may be brought to the notice of the Invigilator concerned

JEE Main 2025 January 22 live: What is the change in exam pattern this year?
NTA has changed the pattern of the JEE Mains 2025 exam for all three papers - Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan). As per the new pattern, section B of the JEE Main exam 2025 for Paper 1 will not have optional questions. There will be only 5 questions per subject and students must answer all 5 questions. Similarly, in Papers 2A and 2B, there will be no optional questions in the Mathematics section.

Frisking is a search of a person's outer clothing wherein a person runs their hands along the outer garments of another to detect any concealed objects. Frisking will be done at the entry gates of the JEE Main exam centre and also after each toilet/bio-break that the candidate takes during the exam.

JEE Main 2025 22 January exam: Instructions for PWD candidates
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority is to be carried by the candidates if claiming the relaxation under the PwD category. Candidates with Physical Disability are requested to report early for facilitation during entry.
- A PwD candidate (having a physical limitation to write) who will be availing the facility of Scribe will be allowed Compensatory/ Extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not.
- The facility of the Scribe, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf, being so certified in the prescribed format by a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
- The facility of Scribe will be provided to the PwD candidates only if he has opted for the same in the online JEE Main 2025 application form.
- The candidate will have the discretion of opting for his own Scribe or to avail the facility of Scribe provided by the NTA. Appropriate choice in this regard has been given by the candidate in the online application form.

There are no official instructions about the dress code to be followed for the JEE Main 2025 exam. However, candidates must take care of some points to avoid issues during the checking process at the JEE Main exam centres.
What to wear:
- Wear simple, plain and comfortable clothes to avoid undergoing exhaustive checking.
- Try wearing half-sleeved clothes that are light and do not have many drapes.
- Complicated hairstyles or clothing will lead to a longer frisking session.

What not to wear:
