As per the initial reaction of the students, the difficulty level was Easy to Moderate. Only two drawing questions were given and there was no choice. Usually, 4 questions are given every year. The paper was lengthy this year.

Admit cards for the exams to be held on 29 and 30 January have been released. The candidates can download the same from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Admit cards for the exam to be held on 31 January and 1 February will be released subsequently.

Exam for B.E./B.Tech (Paper I) will be held in 278 cities and 507 centres for 2.87 lakh candidates on 29 and 30 January.  The admit card for JEE Main 2023 exam on January 29 and 30 is available on the official website.

JEE Main 28 January 2023 Paper 2 BArch BPlan memory-based Question Paper and Answer Key Solutions will soon be available for download after the exam today. Also, the student reactions and analysis will be updated here as soon as the exam concludes at 6 pm.

JEE Main 2023 paper 2 exam has started. The exam will end at 6 pm. For the candidates who have opted to appear for both papers 2a and 2b, the time of exam conclusion is 6:30 pm.

• Candidates should report to the exam centre as per the time mentioned in their admit card
• Candidates should bring their JEE Main admit card 2023 downloaded from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in along with photo ID proof and one passport size photo
• Candidates should follow JEE Main 2023 dress code as mentioned in hall ticket
• Candidates should not bring any prohibited item inside the exam hall

JEE Main 2023 paper 2 exam will start shortly. The exam will be held today in shift 2 only which is from 3 pm to 6 pm for about 0.46 lakh candidates across 285 cities and 343 centres.

JEE Main 2023 paper 2 exam will begin shortly at 3 pm.

NTA will start JEE Main 2023 registration session 2 on February 7. Candidates will be able to apply from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration last date is March 7.

Sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges) are allowed inside the exam hall in case the candidate is diabetic. 

Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper 2, the tie will be resolved using the following methods:
1. NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
2. NTA score in Aptitude Test, followed by
3. NTA score in Drawing Test, followed by
4. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by
5. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics (Part-I) in the Test, followed by
6. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Aptitude Test (Part-II) in the Test followed by
7. Older in Age followed by
8. Application Number in ascending order

There will be negative markings for numerical value type questions. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
i. Correct Answer: Four marks ( 4)
ii. Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
iv. If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks ( 4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.
v. Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

The duration of examination for B.Arch. and B.Planning (both) is 3.5 hours.

The merit list/scores/result of JEE (Main) – 2023 may be utilized by other Entities of Central/State Governments with their eligibility criteria/norms/applicable regulations/guidelines/rules.

For the academic year 2023-24, admissions under MEA (Welfare) quota seats shall be based on the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)

Since Session 1 of JEE Main 2023 Paper-2A (B. Arch) or Paper-2B (B. Planning) will be conducted in multi-shifts, NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate. The calculated NTA scores for all the shifts will be declared on the NTA website. This will comprise the NTA scores for each of the three parts (Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test or Planning Based Test) and the total in Paper 2A (B. Arch) or Paper 2B (B. Planning) of Session 1 of JEE (Main) – 2023.

The NTA scores for each of the candidates in Total in Paper 2A or Paper 2B for Session 1 as well as for Session 2 of JEE (Main)-2023 will be merged for compilation of results and preparation of overall Merit List/Ranking. The best of the two NTA Scores (Total) will be considered for further processing for those candidates who appeared in both sessions.

• Paper 2A (BArch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on a drawing sheet of A4 size.

• Paper 2B (BPlanning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning-Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode only.

Last year, the overall JEE Main BArch paper was moderate in difficulty level. 

Mathematics – This section was Moderate to Difficult level. The Numerical based questions had a few lengthy questions involving calculations. More weightage was given to Chapter of 3 D Geometry.

Aptitude – This section was Easy to Moderate level. Questions mostly from 3- Dimensional Figures.

Drawing– This section was also Easy level. One question involved drawing and colouring the scene of a Holi Festival, question on colour scheme of the logo of Burger King and another question was redrawing a given figure with correct proportions.

For today's paper that is to be held from 3 pm to 6 pm, candidates will have to report from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, the instructions will be given from 2:30 pm to 2:50.

JEE Main 28 January 2023 Paper 2 BArch BPlan Question Paper and Answer Key Solutions will soon be available for download. Candidates will be able to access the correct responses to the question paper through the JEE Main 2023 28 January answer key.

JEE Main Paper 2 exam is conducted for admission to BArch and BPlan courses. The exam will be conducted online as Computer Based Test, except for the drawing part. JEE Main Paper 2 has two parts, Paper 2A which is for BArch and Paper 2B for BPlan. In the BArch paper, questions from Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing sections are asked. Paper 2B has questions on Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning.

The counselling for admission to BArch and BPlan courses will be organized by JoSAA. The counselling will be conducted online tentatively in June. Students will have to register online to participate in the counselling for seat allotment in NITs, IIEST Shibpur and GFTIs.

The NTA will release JEE Main Paper 2 result online on the official website. The result will be available online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. To check results, candidates will have to log in on the official website using their application number of date of birth. Candidates percentile score, All India Rank will be displayed in JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 result.

Candiates can use JEE Main Paper 2 Answer key 2023 to know correct answers to the questions asked in the exam and calculate scores before the announcement of the result. Candiates will also be allowed to challenge the JEE Main provisional answer key up to a certain period of time. 

The NTA will release JEE Main paper 2 answer key 2023 a few days after the completion of the exam. JEE Main 2023 paper 2 answer key will be available online on the official website. Candidates have to log in to the website using their application form number and password to check the JEE Main paper 2 answer key.

The NTA will first release the provisional answer keys of JEE Main Paper 2 which will also be open for challenge. Candidates can match their answers and calculate their probable scores. After the challenge period, NTA will release the final answer key of JEE Main 2022.

JEE Main 2023 Answer key for January 24 and 25 exam have been released by various coaching institutes. Candidates can download these question papers to calculate their expected scores in the exam.

Candidates can check the official marking scheme according to the JEE Main 2023 exam pattern given below. Using the marking scheme and answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores before the JEE Main 2023 result is announced.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has relaxed the 75 percent eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2023 exam. As per the official notification, aspirants who have scored 75% marks or are in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of any education board will be eligible to seek admission to the NITs and IITs and to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.  

The National Testing Agency has not mentioned any specific dress code for JEE Mains 2023. However, candidates are suggested to wear socks, plain pullover, sweaters, cardigans, ankle shoes, low heel shoes or sandals and to coordinate with invigilators during the frisking process. Candidates should also avoid carrying any barred items at the examination centre.
