JEE Mains 2025 Session 1: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be closing the JEE Main correction window 2025 session 1 today: November 27. Candidates can get the JEE Mains correction window 2025 link at the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. To make any changes via JEE Main application correction window, they need to log in with the application number and password.

They must note that they can not make changes to their mobile number, email address, permanent/present address or emergency contact details. As per the schedule, JEE Main Session 1 will be held from January 22 to 31, 2025 in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

How to access JEE Main Correction Window 2024?

The JEE Main 2025 correction window link is active at the official website. Over 13 lakh candidates have registered for session 1. Those who have successfully completed the JEE Main application process can access the correction facility by following the steps provided below:

Step 1: Go to the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on JEE Main session 1 correction link

Step 3: A new login page will be displayed on the screen

Step 4: Login with application number and password

Step 5: Select the field they want to update, now make the required changes. Upload documents, if required

Step 6: Now, submit the updated JEE Main application form

The NTA stated that if JEE Main corrections to the application result in an increased fee, candidates must pay the difference. The updated fields in the JEE Main 2025 form will only be reflected after the payment is made. However, if the corrections lead to a reduced fee, no refunds will be issued to the candidates.

Q: Β  Is there negative marking in JEE Main?

A:

The answer to this question is a Yes. As per the exam pattern of JEE Main 2024, 4 marks would be awarded for every question answered correctly, while negative marking will be done for every incorrect answer. This implies that 1 mark is deducted every time a candidate answers the question wrongly.  Zero or no marks will be given to un-attempted questions.  

Q: Β  Is there any change in JEE Main 2025 exam pattern?

A:

Yes, NTA has announced two major changes in JEE Main exam pattern 2025. As per the new pattern, the total number of questions in JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be 75, 25 each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Also, there will be no optional question in section B in any subject. Students will need to answer all 5 questions in section B from all three subjects. The marking scheme and total marks remains the same.

Q: Β  Is there any change in marking scheme and total number of questions in JEE Main 2025?

A:

Yes, the total number of questins in JEE Main 2025 have been reduced in all three papers - Paper 1 for BE/BTech, Paper 2A for BArch and Paper 2B for BPlan. The Paper 1 exam will now have 75 questions, 25 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In Paper 2A and 2B, the total number of questions have been decreased only in Mathematics section. There will be 25 questions in Mathematics section of Paper 2A and 2B.

NTA has not made any changes in the marking scheme of JEE Mains 2025 exam. Also, the total marks and duration of the exam remains the same.
