JNTUH receives multiple ISO certifications

The certifications were awarded after a thorough investigation by the certifying agency. 

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad has received multiple certifications from International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Telangana Today reported. 

The ISO certification is a recognition for the better internal management and robustness, less wastage of resources, increases in efficiency, productivity and profit, improved member retention and service.  

The university has been rewarded with ISO 50001: 2018, ISO 22000:2018, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 9001: 2015 and Green Environment Awards 2021-2022 for implementation of energy saving practices, preparing, processing and distributing of food at hostel, implementation of greenery and environmental promotion activities, providing educational services and for maintaining green zone, rain harvesting and pollution control practices. The certifications were awarded after a thorough investigation by the certifying agency. 

The university has also doubled the grace marks for students who joined regular BTech first-year programmes in 2018 and could not clear the subjects from 15 to 30, as per a circular issued by the university.  The increased grace marks will be applicable to all theory subjects instead of three subjects as is followed now. Only students who appeared and failed in exams are eligible for grace marks. 

For those students who joined as lateral entry in BTech second year in 2019, the grace marks have been increased from 12 to 23. Like for regular students, the increased marks will be applicable to all theory subjects,
