JUIT Solan, DTE HP join hands for collaborative research in technical education

The agreement will pave the way for joint projects, seminars, skill development, outcome-based training, R&D related services such as sharing of laboratory/library facilities and collaborative research in the field of technical education.  

The Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Sundernagar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaborative initiatives in the field of technical education.  

The agreement will pave the way for joint projects, joint seminars, skill development, outcome-based training, R&D (research and development) related services such as sharing of laboratory/library facilities and collaborative research in the field of technical education.  

Vivek Chandel, Director, Technical Education, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, signed the agreement.  

JUIT Solan is currently accepting applications for its merit-based, BSc, MSc (Non-DBT) and MTech courses. The last date to apply for these courses is September 30. The institute has released placement statistics for batch 2018-22 till June 28, 2022. So far, 301 students participated and a total of 495 offers have been made.  

Out of these, 272 were absolute offers. The highest package offered JUIT Waknaghat during on-campus placements was INR 32 lakh per annum (LPA) and for off-campus offers, it was INR 50 LPA.  

JUIT Solan is a private co-educational institute established in 2002. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Courses offered at JUIT Solan are Bpharma, BTech, MTech, etc.
