KCET 2023 counselling: Verification of documents begins today
The document verification process will conclude on July 15. After document verification, candidates will get the chance to fill out the college and course preferences.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will started the verification of documents for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2023 counselling today, June 27, 2023. The document verification process will conclude on July 15. After document verification, candidates will get the chance to fill out the college and course preferences.
To claim eligibility clause “a”, he/she should have studied and passed in one or more government or government recognised educational institutions located in the state of Karnataka for a minimum of seven academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the entrance test is held and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC/12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In the case of the candidates who have taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, years of academic study is counted as one year only.
KCET document verification
Candidates have to reach the KCET counselling venue along with the required documents. Applicants must carry the compulsory documents in original along with two sets of photocopies. The authority concerned will check all the documents. If all the documents were found correct then the candidate will get a slip, which will have a unique id and password. The following documents are required at the time of KCET document verification 2023:
- Copy of KCET application form 2023
- Copy of KCET admit card 2023
- KCET application fee payment proof
- Class 10/SSLC mark sheet & certificate
- Class 12/2nd PUC mark sheet & certificate
- 7 years study certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO / DDPI
- Recent passport size photograph (two copies)
- Income certificate
- Rural study certificate
- Caste certificate
- Kannada medium certificate (Candidates who have studied in Kannada Medium from Class 1 to 10 in Karnataka and also outside the state of Karnataka)
- Parent’s study certificate / Parent’s Hometown certificate / Parent’s Domicile certificate / Parent’s Employment certificate / Parent’s Cumulative Record / Parent’s Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the domicile/study/employment of the parent
- Identity card issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate / Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants quota.
It is to be noted that any candidate who fails to produce required documents at the time of verification will be disqualified from the admission.
