The candidates can challenge the KEAM 2023 official answer key. To challenge the KEAM 2023 official answer keys candidates have to submit the challenge to the CEE in writing along with supporting documents and a fee of INR 100 per question by way of DD in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The complaints must be submitted within 5 days from the date of publication of the answer keys on the website of the CEE.

If the complaint filed is found to be genuine, the fee remitted while filing the complaint will be refunded. Complaints received by E-mail/Fax will not be considered on any account.  

The subject expert constituted by the CEE analyses the challenges.If any changes are needed in the official answer key, then the changes are made and final KEAM answer key is released. The marks for the deleted questions, if any, shall be distributed. The final answer key will not be available for further challenges.

It is expected that the Official KEAM answer key for papers 1 and 2 will be available soon by today or tomorrow.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), as reported by The Hindu, as many as 1,01,367 aspirants took the KEAM 2023 exam at 336 centres across the State and in New Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai. A total of 1,23,623 students had been issued hall tickets. While all examinees appeared for Paper 1 (physics and chemistry) which is mandatory to qualify for engineering and pharmacy admissions, 81,020 of the 96,940 engineering aspirants appeared for Paper 2 (mathematics). Engineering aspirants are supposed to write both papers to qualify for admission.

In the case of a tie in the total marks computed for preparation of Engineering rank then:

• Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics in the Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
• If the tie still exists, the candidate with higher marks in Physics of the Physics & Chemistry Paper in the Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
• If there is still a tie, the candidate with higher standardized marks in Mathematics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
• If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher standardized marks in Physics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
• If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be taken into account and the older will be placed higher in the ranking.

The subjects of the qualifying examination considered for the computation of marks for the purpose of ranking shall be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The marks of the concerned subject out of 100 or an equivalent mark out of 100, as given in the final year mark list of the Qualifying Examination of any plus two streams shall be considered.

In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.

In order to calculate the probable score in KEAM 2023, candidates can use the below formula:

KEAM 2023 probable score = 4 X number of correct responses – 1X number of incorrect responses

Steps to follow:

• Download the KEAM answer key for papers 1 and 2.
• Now match the answer key with the answers marked by you in the exam.
• Count the number of correct answers and the number of wrong ones.
• Once the number of correct and incorrect answers has been achieved, put them into the above formula.

To be able to appear in the KEAM rank list for admission, candidates must get the following minimum marks in KEAM exam:

CEE will release the KEAM 2023 result by June 20. Thereafter candidates will have to submit their class 12 marks to CEE as per the instructions to be provided after the result is out.

There is no state-level entrance examination for medical and architecture courses conducted by CEE. The KEAM entrance examination is conducted only for Engineering and BPharma courses. Allotment to Medical courses will be conducted based on the NEET (UG) Rank. Those candidates who wish to be considered for the allotment in Medical Courses in Kerala State shall be qualified in NEET. Likewise, if a candidate wants to be considered for allotment in the Architecture course, the qualification in NATA (National Aptitude Test) is required. KEAM 2023 will be held in pen and paper mode. andidates have to mark the answers in OMR sheets. All entries in the OMR answer sheet are to be made with blue or black ink BALL POINT PEN only.
