The KIET Group of Institutions has announced the appointment of Dr. Preeti Bajaj as the Director General. With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, Dr. Bajaj brings a wealth of experience in administration, academics, and research, and is poised to further enhance the institution's commitment to excellence in education and innovation. Dr. Preeti Bajaj has held prominent positions at institutions across India, including serving as Vice Chancellor at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, and Galgotias University, Uttar Pradesh.
Before these roles, she was the Director of G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur, where her leadership significantly advanced the institution's academic and research capabilities. Her extensive professional affiliations include serving as Vice Chair (MA) of IEEE Region 10 (Asia Pacific) until December 2023, a member of the Board of Governors of the Educational Society IEEE USA (2024-26), and Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee of IEEE MGA for 2024 and 2025.
Dr. Bajaj is renowned for her contributions to computational intelligence, intelligent transportation systems, education data mining, and disruptive technologies. She has co-authored three book chapters, holds eight patents, and has published over 150 research papers with significant citations. Her work in designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) has been pivotal in advancing both public and commercial transportation solutions.
