The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has released a notification for the MHT CET exam pattern, syllabus, and result related guidelines. As per the notification, MHT CET 2020 will be conducted in two groups: PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). The online question papers will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) having four options with one correct.

The notification also stated that the 20% weightage will be given to the questions from class XI syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from class XII syllabus while setting the Question Papers.

There will be NO Negative Marking for wrongly answered questions. Questions in the MHT CET 2020 exam will be application based. Candidates can check important details related to MHCET 2020 below:

Explaining about the MHT CET 2020 syllabus, the notification says, β€œThe questions will be based on syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.” Candidates must note that the questions will be set on the whole syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics of class XII and for the syllabus of class XI, candidates can refer the table below:

Chapters/Units of class XI syllabus

Physics

Measurements, Scalars and Vectors, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of Light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of electric current, Magnetism.

Chemistry

Some basic concepts of Chemistry, States of matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface Chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements(Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles and techniques in Organic Chemistry, Alkanes

Mathematics

Trigonometric functions, Trigonometric functions of Compound Angles, Factorization Formulae, Straight Line, Circle and Conics, Sets, Relations and Functions, Probability, Sequences and series.

Biology

Section-1 – Botany

Diversity in organisms, Biochemistry of cell, Plant Water Relations and Mineral Nutrition, Plant Growth and Development.

Section-2 – Zoology

Organization of Cell, Animal tissues, Human Nutrition, Human Respiration

According to the cell, MHT CET 2020 result will be declared in Percentile. Candidates must note that if they are appearing for both the groups i.e. PCM and PCB, the Percentile score of Physics or Chemistry will not be interchanged among the groups.

MHT CET or MH CET is conducted by the cell for admissions to first-year Engineering and Technology programmes (BE/BTech) and Pharmacy programmes (BPharma/PharmaD) in the state. The exam will be conducted in two slots. The first slot will be from April 13 to April 17 and the second slot will be from April 20 to April 23 next year.

I'm appearing for both pcm and pcb Then will the paper comes in pcmb and my marks been clarified on the basis of pcmb?
