Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) has invited online application for MRSPTU admission 2020. The invited applications are for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the varsity.

The process for MRSPTU admission 2020 will be done online on the official website of the university i.e. mrsptu.ac.in. The last date to apply is May 30, 2020.

Admission to most of the courses at the university is based on the merit of the previous qualifying degree/ exam. MRSPTU’s 85 percent of the total seats in each course are open for candidates belonging to Punjab while the remaining 15 percent seats are open for candidates of other states.

Eligibility criteria for MRSPTU admission for Undergraduate (UG)/Postgraduate (PG) courses include:

UG courses:

• MRSPTU BTech admission is based on JEE Main score followed by counseling at institute-level
• BArch aspirants are granted admission based on NATA score
• Admission to remaining UG programmes is based on aggregate obtained by a candidate in Class 12

PG courses:

• For students seeking admission to MRSPTU MTech programme, they need to have a valid GATE score
• Admission to MBA programme is based on the candidate’s performance in CMAT
• Those seeking admission to any of the remaining PG programmes, an excellent academic background is a must.

The MRSPTU has 11 distinct departments under faculties of Engineering and Technology, Applied Sciences and Pharmacy. These departments offer 15 UGC-approved courses at UG and PG level in the field of Science, Engineering, Architecture, Management, hospitality and many more.

The University offers BTech, BSc, BBA, BCA, and four other UG courses. Those seeking admission under UG courses are evaluated on the bases of their academic merit and course-specific entrance exam score. The duration varies from course-to-course. Some of the UG course is also offered in lateral entry mode.

MRSPTU offers PG courses in MTech, MSc, MBA, MCom, MPharma and MCA programmes of two-year duration each.

How to apply for MRSPTU admission 2020

Step 1: Visit the official website of MRSPT University (www.mrsptu.ac.in)

Step 2: On its homepage, scroll to the “Registration 2020-21’ section. Click on ‘New Registration

Step 3: After completing the registration process, submit the form

Step 4: Your application number and password will be sent to your registered mobile number. Use the same to log in to your account

Step 5: Complete the application process by filling other details including your academic qualifications and course for which you wish to seek admission

Step 6: Upload your recent passport-size photograph in JPG/ JPEG/ PNG format (up to 50 kb)

Step 7: Conclude the application process by paying an application fee of Rs 2,000 using debit card/ credit card/ net banking
