The Ministry of Education has established a special body; the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) to prepare the ranking of educational institutes in India based on various parameters required for quality education. The NIRF releases NIRF ranking every year for 13 categories namely Overall, University, College, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Law, Research, Architecture and Planning, Agriculture, and Innovation. NIRF 2024 Ranking Parameters
NIRF decides the ranking of any specific educational Institutes based on several parameters. Candidates can check the NIRF 2024 parameters below;
Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR)
This parameter includes the number of students enrolled in the institute, the Number of faculties available for students, the education qualification of the faculties, and the use of financial resources.
Research and Professional Practice (RP)
Graduation Outcomes (GO)
This parameter usually deals with the performance of the students and institutes as a whole in comparison with the previous year's performance.
Outreach and Inclusivity (OI)
This parameter is greatly influenced by the social upliftment provided by the institute such as the participation and facilities for women, socially and economically challenged students, physically handicapped students, and other state students, and overall perception of the institutes amongst its subjects.
