NIT Calicut and Dell Technologies Team Up for Advanced Research Opportunities

The National Institute of Technology Calicut is preparing to enhance its academic curriculum with industry insights by forming a partnership with Dell Technologies. This strategy aims to merge industry perspectives with educational content in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Storage Management. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is expected to officially establish the strategic partnership between the IT pioneer Dell Technologies and NIT Calicut. 

Dell Technologies' experts will assist in evaluating and updating the syllabi to align with evolving industry demands. The partnership will also offer a chance for the students and faculty of NITC to attend expert talks and workshops by industry experts from Dell.

Collaboration between NIT Calicut and Dell Techonogies 

The partnership covers multiple facets, including offering internships at Dell Technologies for students from NIT Calicut, conducting workshops sponsored by Dell for these students, and joint teaching efforts for specific courses within the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department. Prior to signing the MoU, both entities engaged in comprehensive discussions to identify additional collaboration opportunities, such as the possibility of setting up a research and development lab at NIT Calicut, sponsored by Dell.

This collaborative effort is poised to enhance the academic and practical skills of NITC students, fostering a stronger connection between academia and industry. Additionally, the partnership will contribute significantly to the advancement of technology education, research, and innovation in India.
