NIT Calicut opens admission for PhD courses, apply now

The last date to apply for PhD programmes at NIT Calicut is is November 10, 2022. Candidates are advised to visit the ‘Admissions’ link on the NIT Calicut’s website, https://www.nitc.ac.in.   

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut has invited applications from eligible candidates for admissions to PhD programmes (winter semester).  The institute offers PhD in various categories such as full-time registration, full-time registration under self-sponsored category, internal registration for employees of NIT Calicut and external registration for candidates sponsored by the industry.  

The departments of architecture and planning, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics, biotechnology, materials science and engineering and management studies offer various courses in PhD.

NIT Calicut Placements 2022  

The institute witnessed a record-breaking placement season this year. More than 200 firms offered jobs to 1,138 students. The institute conducted the placement drive via virtual mode. Four students from the computer science and engineering branch received the highest offer at INR 67.6 lakh per annum (LPA) from Traceable AI.  

Placements among postgraduate programmes also improved remarkably compared to the previous year. The placement for MTech programmes was 82 per cent with an average salary of INR 11 LPA. An MTech computer science student received a job offer for INR 33 LPA package. Moreover, this year MCA students also received 98 per cent placement.
