NIT Goa Placements 2022: BTech student bags INR 44 Lakh annual package from Amazon

Another student this year, Gaurav Yadav received a package of INR 24 lakh per annum by Capcount Solutions, which also surpassed the packages earlier bagged by NIT-Goa students. 

NIT Goa Placements 2022: A BTech student from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa, bagged an annual pay package of INR 44 lakh from Amazon, during the recently held NIT Goa Placements 2022. According to the data released by the institute, this is the highest pay package offered ever at NIT-Goa. The technology institute is among the newest NITs in the country, established in 2010.

Rohit Kartik is a student of computer science and engineering and a resident of Porvorim. Rohit will be completing his bachelor of technology programme in May. He has received placement from Amazon as a software developer, for a position that will be based in one of India's metros.

Expressing joy over his achievement, Rohit said, "I am very happy. The faculty taught us very well. All the earlier students who had got the highest package so far at the institute guided me and so I knew I was on the right path. Dream big and work towards it. As long as you are consistent, no one can stop you.” So far, the highest package offered at NIT-Goa since its first batch was INR 20 lakh per annum.

Another student this year, Gaurav Yadav received a package of INR 24 lakh per annum by Capcount Solutions, which also surpassed the packages earlier bagged by NIT-Goa students. But the offer made to Kartik later during the placement season surpassed all expectations.

NIT Goa Placements conducted online amid COVID-19

The institute conducted the placement interview process online this year.  This package is on par with those bagged by one of the older and bigger NITs,” said NIT-Goa director Gopal Mugeraya. Chairman of the campus placement cell, Lalat Indu Giri informed that NIT-Goa 2022 placement season attracted the highest number of companies, i.e. 110.

He further added, “Despite the pandemic situation, 110 companies held placement interviews and already 116 placements have been done. The placement record is 100% in the branches of electronics and communications, electronics and electrical engineering, and computer science and engineering. In mechanical engineering, the placement stands at 80%,” he said.
