NIT Raipur PhD Admission 2025: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) has started the application process for PhD admission. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can complete NIT Raipur PhD admission application form online at the official website. The last date to fill up the NIT Raipur PhD admission for the Spring session is November 28, 2024.
The NIT Raipur PhD admission application form can be submitted in the following departments: Applied Geology, Architecture, Bio-Medical Engineering, Bio-Technology, Chemical, Chemistry, Civil, Computer Applications (MCA), Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Technology, Mathematics, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials and Mining Engineering and Physics.
Who are eligible to apply for NIT Raipur PhD Admission 2025?
Interested candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, Architecture, Planning, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the institute. They must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.5/10 CGPA/CPI is required in the Master’s degree.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently Abled categories, or those who earned their Master’s degree before September 19, 1991, are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks (from 60% to 55%) or CGPA/CPI (from 6.5/10 to 6.0/10).
Also, those who have appeared for their qualifying examination and are awaiting results may also apply. However, eligibility must be met by the date of the interview if shortlisted. Candidates shortlisted for interviews must submit an undertaking (available at the department) at the time of the interview, declaring:
"If any information provided in this application is found to be incorrect at any stage, my application/candidature may be rejected, and any admission offered/granted may be cancelled. I accept full responsibility for this."

Q: What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?
Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

NIT Raipur offers various courses such as BTech, MTech, MSc, MCA and MA. Admission to these programmes are entrance-based. For admission to the BTech programme the aspiring candidates need to have class 12 degree with a minimum of 75%. The other courses offers needs the candidates to clear other entrance exams i.e., GATE for MTech, JEE for BTech, NIMCET for MCA, IIT JAM for MSc.

A. NIT Raipur BTech admission 2024 is based on candidates' performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To be eligible for the BTech programme the aspiring candidates need to have 75% in class 12.
