PM Modi to Inaugurate 4 IITs, IIS, 3 IIMs and 20 KVs Today, Check Details Here

PM Modi is set to inaugurate new campuses for three IIMs in Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Visakhapatnam, alongside permanent campuses for IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, and IIITDM Kancheepuram significantly enhancing the education sector. Get complete details here 

In a major move to enhance and evolve educational and skill development facilities nationwide, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various educational development initiatives and lay the foundation for multiple projects valued at approximately Rs 13,375 crore.

The projects includes the inauguration of three new IIMs, permanent campuses for IITs (IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu), 20 new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) buildings, and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalaya (NV) buildings nationwide.

Along with this, PM Modi will also inaugurate of Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), a pioneer skill training institute on advanced technologies in Kanpur; and two campuses of Central Sanskrit University in Uttarakhand’s Devprayag and in Agartala, Tripura. PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of the campuses and buildings at a public function at the Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu. 

The Prime Minister office states, “In a significant step towards upgrading and developing education and skilling infrastructure across the country, the prime minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of several projects worth about Rs 13,375 crore.”

IITH Campus Development Project

PM Modi will inaugurate the IITH Campus Development Project via an online event on February 20, 2024, at 11 AM. Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, will attend the ceremony in person. The event is scheduled to take place in the IITH Convention Centre Auditorium from 11 AM to 1 PM.

IIT Bombay Research Park and Academic Complex at IIT Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate IIT Bombay's new Research Park Building virtually today. The venue for this significant occasion is the Research Park Building, located within the IIT Bombay campus in Powai, Mumbai. He will also inaugurate two academic complexes at IIT Delhi through video conferencing today. 

Inauguration of AIIMS 

PM Modi will also inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu, an institution he also laid the foundation stone for in February 2019. This establishment is part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, a central government scheme.
