Tata Technologies, in collaboration with Microsoft and Tata Motors, introduces the second edition of the Tata Technologies InnoVent hackathon. This initiative aims to involve engineering students across India, offering them a platform to demonstrate their creativity and innovation in addressing challenges within the manufacturing industry. This year's hackathon emphasizes Generative AI-enabled solutions that enhance value throughout the product development cycle, spanning product engineering, manufacturing processes, and customer experience.
The hackathon invites participation from 3rd and 4th year engineering students across India and encourages inclusivity by welcoming entries from women engineers and differently abled team members, underscoring its commitment to diversity and inclusion. The deadline for project submissions is July 31, 2024.
Tata Technologies will support the top project teams by providing them with the necessary innovation tools and technologies for scaling their innovations. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Tata Technologies will mentor and guide these top-performing project teams throughout the scaling process. Microsoft will grant complimentary access to Azure resources and offer project mentoring through the Azure community to the top teams.
Evaluation Process
The evaluation process will proceed through three stages: initial reviews, virtual Proof of Concept (PoC) presentations, and final demonstrations. Projects will be evaluated on criteria including diversity, innovation, feasibility, and potential impact. The top three winning teams will collectively receive cash prizes totalling INR 4.5 Lakhs, along with paid internship opportunities at Tata Technologies.
