Joint Seat Allocation Authority released JoSAA 2024 counselling round 1 cut-off today. Candidates can check the JoSAA 2024 opening and closing ranks for all courses and all institutes on the official website josaa.nic.in. JoSAA round 1 will be conducted from 19 June 2024 to 26 June 2024.  

It has been seen in recent times that demand for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science courses is rising. A total of 5 IITs offer AI and Data Science 4-year B.Tech degree courses. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have seen a significant rise in cutoff marks for the 2024 academic session. This trend reflects the growing popularity of these fields and the increasing competition for seats in these prestigious programs. 

According to the latest 2024 cut-off data released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), the opening and closing ranks for AI and Data Science programs at several IITs have witnessed a surge compared to 2023.

IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee are the most desired IITs among all five, both offer 40 seats for AI and Data Science courses. All these above-mentioned IITs collectively offer about 240 seats for AI and Data Science courses. Many JEE Advanced qualified students are willing to get admission to these courses, rising cut-off is not making this easier for candidates. There are several reasons behind the rise in cut-offs such as Growing demand, Limited number of seats, etc... Students must keep in mind this rising cut-off factor while preparing for the examination.
