Vivo Launches Third Edition of 'Vivo Ignite' to Empower Indian Youth in Solving Societal Challenges through Technology
Vivo announces the third edition of vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Initiative, inviting students to submit individual or group entries in the Prototype category across various themes.
Vivo has launched the third edition of its flagship CSR program, Vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Initiative (T&I Initiative). This initiative encourages students from classes 8 to 12 across the country to tackle pressing societal challenges through technology-driven solutions. Participants can submit individual or group entries (up to three members per group) in the Prototype category, focusing on themes such as Software-Tech Innovations, Agriculture & Climate Change, and Community Development Innovations, all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The application process is fully online, allowing students from across India to register at www.vivoignite.com. The competition will unfold in three phases, concluding with a Grand Finale on June 8, 2025. During the finale, the top 10 prototypes will be showcased and honoured by the Grand Jury, with participants vying for educational scholarships and rewards totalling up to INR 35 lakhs*.
The third edition of Vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Initiative will be conducted in partnership with renowned knowledge collaborators: the Central Institute of Educational Technology - NCERT (CIET-NCERT), IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation – TIH of IIT Madras, and UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI).

The third edition of Vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Initiative
- Stage One: Students submit an image and a brief description of their original idea, ensuring it has not been previously recognized.
- Stage Two: Entries will be carefully evaluated by the judges, who will shortlist 200 ideas—50 from each zone (North, South, East, and West). These zonal winners will participate in workshops and receive personalized mentoring. Shortlisted students must then submit a video showcasing their working model or prototype, along with project details in a Project Display Board format. The Top 10 ideas will advance to the final phase.
- Stage Three: Participants with the Top 10 ideas will undergo additional mentoring and workshops facilitated by IITM Pravartak Technologies to further enhance their skills. They will present their final prototypes during the Grand Finale.
