Will JEE Advanced 2024 Syllabus Change Due to JEE Main Syllabus Reduction?

The JEE Advanced 2024 syllabus will not be changing due to the reduction of the JEE Main syllabus. The syllabus of JEE Advanced was changed in 2023, last year. Thus the probability of changes in the syllabus again this year is very slim.
Experts state that if the syllabus of JEE Advanced was to change then the notification would have come much earlier. Unlike JEE Main, random and sudden changes in JEE Advanced exam are not feasible.
Important Note for the IIT Aspirants
IIT aspirants who will be appearing for JEE Advanced 2024, note that the syllabus for JEE Advanced was revised in 2023. The same revised syllabus must be followed for JEE Advanced 2024 too. There will be no changes in the JEE Advanced 2024 syllabus due to the reduction in JEE Main 2024 syllabus, as per the experts.
The topics that have been eliminated from the JEE Main syllabus, if included in the Advanced syllabus, must be prepared by the aspirants.
The JEE Main reduced syllabus is now more aligned with the boards syllabus. To assess candidates' academic abilities at the IIT level, the JEE Advanced 2024 syllabus covers relevant topics. JEE Advanced comprises two papers, each containing questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Both papers are mandatory and last for three hours each. These papers evaluate candidates' comprehension, reasoning, and analytical ability.
The topics that have been deleted from the JEE Main 2024 syllabus but are still part of the JEE Advanced syllabus include:
- Mathematics: Mathematical Induction and Mathematical Reasoning units have been removed from the syllabus of Mathematics.
- Physics: In Physics, Communication Device units have been removed from the syllabus
- Chemistry: Surface Chemistry, States of Matter, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, s-block elements, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Alcohol Phenol and Ether, and Polymers chapters have been removed.
IIT Madras is likely to organise the JEE Advanced 2024 exam. To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2024, candidates should appear for JEE Main and qualify the cutoff for JEE Advanced. The required minimum marks in JEE Main to qualify for JEE Advanced 2024 will be announced along with all other details. Usually, candidates who achieve a rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates in JEE Main become eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advanced 2024 registrations are expected to start in the last week of April 2024.
