FORDA requests MCC to start NEET-UG Counselling 2021
After protesting against the delay in NEET-PG Counselling 2021, FORDA has now urged the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to take necessary measures to start NEET-UG Counselling 2021.
The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has requested the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to take the required measures to begin National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Counselling 2021.
While thanking MCC for declaration of NEET-PG Counselling 2021 schedule after the Supreme Court judgement on OBC and EWS case, FORDA has requested the Committee to also begin NEET-UG Counselling 2021.
FORDA's letter to MCC reads, "At the very beginning, we would like to thank you for declaration of the NEET-PG Counselling 2021 Schedule soon after pronouncement of judgement by the Hon'ble Supreme Court on 7th January 2022 and the Counselling process is set to begin today (12th January) onwards. Along with this, we would like to draw your attention towards the plight of thousands of Medical aspirants across the nation who had appeared and cleared the NEET-UG Entrance Examination and are eagerly waiting for the commencement of NEET-UG Counselling 2021."
"Similar to Broad Speciality Courses, there has been no admission of Under-Graduate students in the current Academic Year, owing to postponement of the Counselling. Though it was notified that along with NEET-PG Counselling, NEET-UG Counselling will also commence soon, there has been no further update in this regard yet. This has led to a lot of anxiety and confusion among the aspirants. We would hereby request you to kindly take note of the grievance of Medical aspirants of the nation and take necessary measures for commencement of NEET-UG Counselling 2021 at the earliest," the letter added further.
FORDA had initiated a protest of resident doctors on November 27 last year against the unprecedented delay in NEET-PG Counselling 2021. Now, after many delays, the counselling process for postgraduate medical courses have finally started from today, January 12.
