HCL Technologies TechBee Program: HCL Technologies is all set to offer its early career program TechBee to schools students in Maharashtra. The program comes under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by HCL with the Government of Maharashtra for the Maharashtra Young Leaders Aspiration Development Program (MYLAP). The MoU was exchanged between Subbaraman B, vice president, HCL Technologies, and Kailash Pangare, State Programme Director, Samagra Shiksha in the august presence of Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Balasaheb Thorat, Minister of Revenue, Varsha Gaikwad, Minister of School Education, and Aslam Sheikh, Guardian Minister for Mumbai.

Under the TechBee Program, HCL offers IT engineering jobs by equipping the students with future-ready skills. Candidates enrolled under HCL Technologies TechBee program are prepared for entry-level IT jobs at the company. Selected candidates undergo extensive 12-month training to become software engineers. Upon completing the training, candidates are employed in a full-time position with HCL Technologies.

Talking about MYLAP, Minister of School Education, Government of Maharashtra, Varsha Gaikwad, “Maharashtra Young Leaders Aspiration Development Program (MYLAP) is a great opportunity for Maharashtra Class 12 students having minimum 60% marks in Maths and Science. HCL Technologies is planning to induct 20,000 plus students into the MYLAP apprenticeship. This is in line with the philosophy of Learn, Earn and Live in dignity. I am convinced that with such initiatives, students from Maharashtra will be ready from an early age to tackle global challenges with industry know-how and skill development. I congratulate all bureaucrats related to the Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra and HCL Technologies on signing this Memorandum of Understanding.”

The fee for the training program is INR 1,00,000 plus taxes. Loans are available through Banks, and the fee can be paid by the candidates in EMI format post their employment at HCL Technologies.

HCL Technologies TechBee Program Eligibility Criteria

Students who have qualified Class 12 in 2021 or appear for Class 12 in 2022 with mathematics or business mathematics with 60 percent or above marks are eligible to apply for the TechBee program. Qualified candidates will have to pass an online career aptitude test namely HCL CAT, which checks their aptitude in areas of quantitative reasoning in mathematics, logical reasoning, and the English language.

HCL Technologies TechBee Program Perks & Benefit

Students selected for TechBee get a stipend of INR 10,000 during the internship in live HCL projects.

While working, candidates pursue their higher education with BITS Pilani, SASTRA University, or Amity University.

On completing the one-year TechBee training program, students earn a salary of between INR 1.70- INR 2.20 lakhs per annum in the chosen job roles like Software Engineer, Infrastructure Management, Design Engineer, or Digital Process Associate roles.
