AISU UP President condemns Chaudhary Charan Singh University VC over inefficiency of exam related work

AISU UP President Adityaa Chaudhry highlighted the inefficiency of the agency in conducting the exam form-filling process. He further added that it appears that the varsity has also turned a blind eye towards the issue.

All India Students’ Union (AISU) UP President Adityaa Chaudhry addressed urgent concerns in a letter to the Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut. In the official letter, the President has highlighted issues of incompetence and negligence in current exam management. “Hundreds of students' futures are at risk,” Chaudhry said in his statement to the varsity’s VC.  

The letter’s subject reads, “Regarding the future of hundreds of students being on the verge of becoming bleak due to the autocracy, inefficiency and negligence of the agency currently doing the examination related work.”

He highlighted the inefficiency of the agency in conducting the exam form-filling process. He further added that it appears that the varsity has also turned a blind eye towards the issue.

In the letter, Adityaa highlighted the following issues that students are facing:

Students not able to fill exam form

1. Due to the subject code not being displayed in the bank examination form / main examination form in graduation/post graduation, students are unable to fill the examination form but the agency is not ready to listen to anyone from this side and the university of students and colleges is not able to fill the examination form.”
2. The back forms of UFM have not opened yet and the agency is zero in this direction [Students are facing problems in the university, solution for this. to be done.

Complexities of Exam Form

3. The examination form has been made so complex that students from rural areas are not able to fill the form easily while filling it online, whereas in the earlier agency the examination form was easy and clear. Along with high school and intermediate marksheets, graduation marksheets are also being uploaded in the examination form, which is unjustified. When the student is already registered in the university and has provided records to the university in the previous years, only then the examination forms are opened by the university. What is the point in uploading? Cyber cafes are charging extra INR 100 to 200 from the students for this unnecessary upload and the examination form has become complicated. This should be stopped, this way students are being indirectly exploited.
4. When a student has already submitted his migration certificate during the admission process in the university, what is the justification for uploading the migration certificate in the examination form again?

5. Contact details (telephone) issued by the University regarding examination form are closed / out of coverage area / agency.
6. The helpline of the agency is only for show, no solutions are given from there and the reply is received after weeks on the mails and that too without any solution. A separate complaint portal should be arranged for the students in this matter. In which examination related complaints should be resolved within 24 hours.

Students’ date leakage

7. Even during the admission process, a case of data leakage of about 3.5 lakh registered students by the agency came to light, but no strict action was taken by the university administration against the agency, the consequences of which are being borne by all the students registered in the university today.

Subject code not open

8. The annual back examination form is being filled by the university between 25.10.2023 to 16.11.2023, the last date of which is 16.11.2023, but the subject code of some students has not been opened by the agency. The back paper examination form fee of some candidates is displayed as zero. Due to which their examination form is incomplete.
9. Under the semester system, the option of choosing semester in the examination form is closed whereas the forms are being filled from 11.11.2023 but the agency is not paying any attention to this.

“Along with the above subjects, it is necessary that the students should not go to the university for their problems, the university should establish solutions in this direction and implement such a system that the students get the solutions at the level of their colleges and also the tyranny, inefficiency and negligence of the agency should be avoided. Please also take pains to get the investigation done so that the interest of the students is not affected,” Chaudhry said.
