Allahabad University cautions alumni against ‘Fake’ Alumni Associations; To file FIR

It has come to notice that some persons are indulging in creating a fake alumni association and not only this, charging the alumni of Allahabad University a huge amount of money

Allahabad University has issued a notice advising its alumni to not fall prey to fake ‘Alumni Association’ which are organizing seminars and also collecting money from alumni in the name of the university.

AU is also also contemplating to file a police complaint against people forming fake alumni association and fleecing money from its alumni.

As per the notice issued by Allahabad University, it is 136 years old University having its very rich alumni, many of whom have made mark in various fields of life being Judges of High Courts and Supreme Court, Bureaucrats, Writers, Poets, Journalists, Advocates, Chartered Accountants working in banks.

The University has been the Alma matter of the Vice President and Prime Ministers of the Count. It has come to notice that some persons are indulging in creating a fake alumni association and not only this, charging the alumni of Allahabad University a huge amount of money in the pretext of taking them to foreign countries, entertaining them on cultural evening, organizing fake seminars all these activities are done to earn money and play with the emotions of senior alumni of this University.

They have been printing their visiting cards using buildings of University and also misusing Logo of Allahabad University which is a serious misrepresentation. Allahabad University has nothing to do with such fake persons. The alumni are being made aware through this letter not to fall in their trap. The University is contemplating to file an FIR.
