AUD Admissions 2022: Over 29,000 candidates applications received, dip in registration

AUD has witnessed a dip in the number of registrations this year like Delhi university. Last year, approximately, 32,000 students had completed registrations for admissions to AUD.

AUD Admissions 2022: Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has ended its undergraduate admission with over 29,000 registrations. This year, Ambedkar University is conducting admissions through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). AUD has witnessed a dip in the number of registrations this year like Delhi university. Last year, approximately, 32,000 students had completed registrations for admissions to AUD. 

This year, even Delhi University has witnessed a dip in a number of registrations. The varsity while speaking about the fall in registration numbers said that this is even when more than 3 lakh candidates had indicated AUD as one of their preferred universities while filling out their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) forms with the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Like Delhi University, AUD has also moved away from the cut-off system for undergraduate admissions this year and has adopted CUET scores as the basis of admissions. On October 18, AUD will be releasing its first merit list for undergraduate courses. The university will prepare a separate merit list for each programme based on the candidates’ CUET scores 2022. In case there is a tie, the marks of the best four subjects in Class 12th will be considered. If a tie persists, the age of the candidates will be considered and the older candidate will be given preference.

Of its 19 undergraduate programmes, AUD is conducting admissions in 18 through the CUET. Once released, the merit list schedule will be available online on the official website - aud.ac.in.Through their CUET Scores 2022, candidates were allowed to apply for admission into various UG programmes such as BA Hons Political Science, BBA, BA Hons Hindi, BA Hons Economics, BA Hons Sociology, BA Hons History, various vocational programmes and more.
