Central University of Haryana implements open access policy
The policy was prepared by Central Library with the support and expert inputs from IGIDR, ICAR, OPJG University, JNU and the faculty members of Central University of Haryana.
Central University of Haryana has announced implementation of open access policy for a better research ecosystem.
Prof. R.K. Gupta, Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Agrasen University released the ‘Open Access Policy of Central University of Haryana’ during the expert lecture organized by Centre for Innovation and Incubation (CII).
He appreciated the efforts of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar for the policy initiatives for building a better research eco-system in the University.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Hayrana said, “This is our initial step towards creating awareness about open access practices and further strengthening our approach towards open access publishing”.
Open Access Policy will allow academic movement where publications are made available and accessible free of cost with minimum restrictions to different kinds of audience. It gives major benefits to authors, readers, funders, institutions, etc. by providing resources to academicians free of cost.
The policy was prepared by Central Library with the support and expert inputs from IGIDR, ICAR, OPJG University, JNU and the faculty members of Central University of Haryana. The policy was approved by the Academic Council of the University for implementation. Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Director, CII; Prof. Pawan Kumar Maurya; Dr. Santosh C. H.; Prof. Dinesh Chahal; Dr. Renu Yadav, other teachers and students were present in the programme.
