Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan launches Vidyanjali scholarship programme to promote Higher Education
Dharmendra Pradhan during the launch event held at the Rang Bhawan, All India Radio, Sansad Marg, New Delhi said more than 34,000 students, who complete their studies from Navodaya Vidyalayas annually, can use the portal to access higher education funding.
The Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched the Vidyanjali Fintech Portal today. The initiative was launched to strengthen schools through community and private sector involvement in schools across the country.
According to the official portal of Vidyanjali, “This initiative would connect schools with varied volunteers from the Indian Diaspora namely, young professionals, retired teachers, retired Government officials, retired professionals, NGOs, Private Sector and Public Sector Companies, Corporate Institutions and many others.”
More than 34,000 students to be benefitted

NVS students can register for Scholarship for Higher Studies
Students across 650 Navodaya Vidyalaya in 638 districts in tier 1,2,3 cities can register and apply for scholarships through this portal. The portal will also bring transparency for funders to allocate and track their CST contributions.
Six students from Navodaya Vidyalayas received scholarships from Dharmendra Pradhan at the event. All the students have secured admission to the top higher educational institutes (HEIs) in India.
“Nation-building is a collective effort of all citizens. As envisioned in the NEP, Vidyanjali Scholarship Program symbolises a whole-of-society approach to empowerment through access and opportunities of education, particularly to students belonging to economically disadvantaged sections,” Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted on official X handle.
Sanjay Kumar, secretary of the school education and literacy department, Manoj Kumar, director of EdCIL, B Chandrasekar, executive director, EdCIL, Vinayak Garg, commissioner of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti were present at the event.
