Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya Signs MoU with Indian Navy to Foster Logistics Training and Research
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya MoU with Indian Navy aims to boost executive training, logistics expertise and support national development plans with a significant contribution to Atmanirbhar Bharat to improve operational efficiency.
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Navy. The MoU aims to provide logistics-related education and the necessary research and training for the Indian Navy. The collaboration will significantly strengthen logistics education with a focus on supply chain management, sustainability in logistics and multimodal transportation.
The MoU was signed by Vice Admiral Deepak Kapoor (Controller of Logistics, Indian Navy) and Prof. Manoj Choudhary (Vice-Chancellor, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya). Reportedly, the framework aligns with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan 2021 and the National Logistics Policy 2022.
Case Studies for Practical Exposure
The MoU between Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya and the Indian Navy facilitates the exchange of case studies in several areas including AI applications, blockchain technology and predictive analytics in order to provide insights of practical exposure. Several Indian Navy officers will be provided with the opportunity to pursue academic degrees at the university as well as management development programmes.
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya now caters to the research and educational needs of all three defence services i.e. Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. The university's primary emphasis on transportation and logistics positions it as a leader in skill development and innovation within this vital sector.
Indian Navy Vice Admiral highlighted the outcome of the MoU between Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya and the Indian Navy and stated that the collaboration would empower the Navy with recent logistics capabilities and practical insights on the other hand Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya will get important learning from the Indian Navy's operational expertise.
