Hindustan Coca-Cola to skill 5,000 youth in sales & marketing, lead community projects

The program will include a diverse range of participants, from recent graduates to students currently pursuing their degrees, as well as college dropouts aged 18 and above. Structured over three months, the program will consist of a comprehensive 30-hour curriculum and will provide the participants with an intensive learning experience, combining 6 hours of direct face-to-face interactions and 24 hours of engaging online sessions.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kaushalya University to skill 5,000 individuals through a Sales & Marketing training program in Gujarat.  The training will be spread across various villages in the Ahmedabad and Kheda Districts. The company also announced various community development initiatives in 11 villages of these districts.
The program will include a diverse range of participants, from recent graduates to students currently pursuing their degrees, as well as college dropouts aged 18 and above. Structured over three months, the program will consist of a comprehensive 30-hour curriculum and will provide the participants with an intensive learning experience, combining 6 hours of direct face-to-face interactions and 24 hours of engaging online sessions.

The initiatives were announced in the presence of Balvantsinh Rajput, Cabinet Minister of Industries, Rural Development, Labour and Employment in the Government of Gujarat; Dr Anju Sharma, Director General,  Kaushalya The Skill University and IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat; P K Mistry, Kaushalya University; H R Suthar, Kaushalya University and Dr Shiv Kant Shukla, Professor & Head, School of Services, Kaushalya University

HCCB will drive orientation and awareness sessions, ensure the electronic provision of program materials, and conduct both face-to-face and online training sessions. It will also facilitate interactions with industry experts, provide online platforms, conduct assessments, and connect learners with local industries and entrepreneurial opportunities – at zero cost to the aspirants. Meanwhile, the university will introduce learners to HCCB and its programs, aid with orientation sessions, and ensure the availability of infrastructure like computer labs and classrooms. They will also monitor program attendance and assist with assessments.

Additionally, the company will usher in transformative developmental projects across the 11 villages in the areas of access to clean drinking water, sustainable agricultural practices, Nagrik Seva Kendras (NSK), healthcare, and education infrastructure.
