Kerala University invites application for four-year UG programme; Apply by Sep 30

The application can be submitted online at www.admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in latest by September 30, 2023. The application fee for General/SEBC candidates is INR 1000/- and that for SC/ST, INR 500/-. The intake of the Programme is 30.

Kerala University Admission 2023: University of Kerala is conducting admissions for Four Year Under Graduate Programme (FYUGP) 2023, under Centre for Undergraduate Studies (CUS), Kariavattom Campus, to be conducted under the Credit and Semester System (CSS).

The programme offers major in Politics & International Relations/ Economics/ History with focus on research. The programme will have two Broad Pathways - 3 year UG Degree and 4 year UG Degree (Honours) with Research. The course will have four major components- (i) Foundation Courses consisting of Ability Enhancement courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value Addition Courses (VAC) and Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC) (ii) Discipline Specific Major courses (iii) Discipline Specific Minor/Multidisciplinary courses and (iv) Research Component with dissertation, internship and field surveys.

Students who choose to exit after 3 years shall be awarded UG Degree in their respective Major Discipline- Politics and International Relations or Economics or History after the successful completion of the required minimum number of Courses and Credits. Those with a CGPA of 7.5 or above in the first six semesters of the programme are eligible to join the Honours Programme with Research. UG Honours Degree with research in the Major Discipline shall be awarded to those who complete the programme with specific number of course credits in their major discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for Kerala University Four Year Under Graduate Programme 2023, applicant should have a Pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University shall be considered as equivalent academic eligibility. The maximum age limit for admission will be 23 years for General/ SEBC candidates and 25 years for SC/ST candidates as on June 1, 2023.
