Madhya Pradesh Approves Prime Minister's Colleges in Every District, Merges of Health, Medical Education Dept
In a bid to enhance the academic infrastructure, the cabinet also approved the creation of 1845 additional academic posts and 387 non-academic posts in the selected colleges. This strategic move is expected to bolster the quality of education imparted in these institutions.
In a crucial cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, several pivotal decisions were made that are set to reshape the educational and administrative landscape of Madhya Pradesh.
Under the ambit of the National Education Policy, the cabinet granted approval for the establishment of one Prime Minister's College of Excellence in each of the 55 districts in the state. This ambitious move aims to elevate the standard of education across Madhya Pradesh, with a particular focus on excellence and innovation. The decision comes with a significant financial commitment, as a total expenditure of ₹485 crore was sanctioned for the establishment of these institutions.

In a move toward administrative efficiency, the cabinet approved the merger of the Public Health and Family Welfare Department with the Medical Education Department. The amalgamation of these departments will lead to the formation of the "Public Health and Medical Education Department," streamlining operations and potentially improving healthcare and medical education services across the state.
These decisions underscore the government's commitment to comprehensive development, emphasizing education, healthcare, and administrative reforms in Madhya Pradesh.
