Marwadi University celebrates 6th Convocation Ceremony; Over 2000 degrees conferred
A total of 2,051 students received their degrees and diplomas, including 366 international students from Syria, South Sudan, UAE, Zambia, among others. The governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan attended the event as the chief guest.
Marwadi University celebrated its 6th Convocation ceremony. A total of 2,051 students received their degrees and diplomas, including 366 international students from Syria, South Sudan, UAE, Zambia, among others. The governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan attended the event as the chief guest.
The chief guest Arif Mohammed Khan, Governor of Kerala, congratulated the students and said, “Despite having achieved a remarkable milestone, you cannot rest as your own body of work is yet to come. And you should keep aiming at high standards of excellence in future as well. Further, the acquisition of knowledge without the growth of wisdom and empathy or compassion can degenerate us and such knowledge without compassion, human values is a threat to fellow human beings. It is a moral duty of every University, every teacher to help students discover themselves.”
Professor Dr Sandeep Sancheti, Vice Chancellor, Marwadi University, added that, "We want our students to imbibe the values of a LEADER; lifelong learning, empathy, adaptability, diversity, empowerment and respect. These are the core values that we try to deliver. To all the students graduating this year I would like to say go forth and be the change for you are the hope of tomorrow."
According to the official statement, Academic research at Marwadi University has shown remarkable progress, with 246 research papers published in the past academic year, with the university's H-index increasing from 26 to 37, indicating an increase in quality and impact of its research. Additionally, the university provided a seed grant of almost INR 1 Cr to emerging researchers to support their research initiatives. MU is dedicated to preparing students for the future job market, as evidenced by the 444 companies that visited the campus during the Academic Year 2022-23, offering a total of 850 job positions, with the highest salary package offered being INR 22 Lakhs per annum.
