 Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) in Motihari, Bihar has decided to reopen the campus for all first semester students of various postgraduate and undergraduate courses in physical mode from February 21.

The decision to reopen the campus for students in the physical mode in a phased manner has been taken during a meeting of the Vice-Chancellor with heads of various departments. It has been decided to reopen the university for all first semester students of various UG and PG courses first while adopting requisite social distancing norms.

The University has asked to ensure regular sanitisation and following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour norms as notified by the Government of India and the Bihar Government from time to time.

Only those students will be permitted to attend the classes physically who have been fully, partially vaccinated. Those who have not been vaccinated with even one dose will not be allowed to attend the classes physically.

The classes of the rest of the PG and UG students (i.e. excluding First Semester students), in physical mode shall commence after end-Semester Examinations which are likely to be held in the second week of March 2022.

Till then their classes shall be held through online mode.

The university has also decided that the entrance examination for admission into various PhD programmes during the Academic Session 2021-22 will be conducted on March 13 at various centres across the country.
