Mumbai University to start Distance Learning in MA Psychology, Journalism & PR; Apply before Sep 30
Mumbai University will offer three new courses from this academic year. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recently gave a nod to a total of 23 courses from the University of Mumbai's Institute of Distance and Open Learning(IDOL) for the academic year 2022-23.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) recently gave a nod to a total of 23 courses from the University of Mumbai's Institute of Distance and Open Learning(IDOL) for the academic year 2022-23. The three new courses that have been introduced this year includes MA Psychology, MA Communication and Journalism, and MA Public Relations.
All the candidates who are interested must note that the admission to these three courses will close on September 30, 2022. MA in Social Psychology is now in session for which IDOL has set up a computer lab. For admission into this course, students must pass at least 3 examinations in BA Psychology. Alongside psychology, Journalism and Public Relations have also been made available to especially for those who are working people and wish to pursue the degree through distance learning this academic session.
All three courses will be offered in session mode, with study materials made available online. Expert professors will be available for class guidance for this specific course.
Meanwhile, Dr Ajay Bhamare has been appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Mumbai University. Governor Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari announced the appointment on Monday. Dr Bhamare has been in-charge Dean at Mumbai University for the faculty of Commerce and Management. “The Pro-VC will be a full-time appointment. The new Vice-Chancellor, whenever appointed, will have the liberty to change it,” said an MU official.
