Odisha CM to launch Nua-O Scholarship 2024 distribution program in various districts today

The Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha scheme aims to empower youth with continuous skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling opportunities. Odisha CM is all set to launch Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Program in in Sambalpur, Devagarh and Anugol districts. 

Nua-O Scholarship 2024: The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik is all set to launch the Nuwa-O scholarship scheme distribution program in various districts today, i.e. February 26, 2024. According to an official post from I & PR Department Odisha X handle, “Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik will launch the scholarship distribution program in Sambalpur, Devagarh and Anugol districts today under "Nuwa-O" scholarship scheme. February 26, 2024 #NUAOdisha #NaveenOdisha”

The Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha scheme aims to empower youth with continuous skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling opportunities, he said. With a budget of INR 385 crore for 2023-24 to 2025-26 fiscals, the scheme will cover all 30 districts, prioritising tribal and remote areas. Pandian said that the scholarship will be available for students of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in state universities and government and non-government aided colleges including Sanskrit colleges under the Higher Education department. Students whose parents are Income Tax payees or are permanent government employees would not be able to avail of the scholarship, he said.

Odisha Nua-O Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Candidates looking for Odisha Nua-O Scholarship eligibility criteria must note that this scholarship has been introduced by Odisha government. According to the announcement made by the government, Odisha Nua-O Scholarship will be available for undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in the state university (government or non-government). However, students whose parents or guardians working in the government sector any state or central government office and pay income tax will not be eligible for the scholarship.
