The Congress headquarters in Delhi became the focal point of student unrest as hundreds took to the streets to voice their opposition against the party's proposed wealth redistribution and inheritance tax policies. Brandishing placards with slogans denouncing what they labeled as 'Urban Naxals', students from various colleges converged outside the Congress office, expressing vehement dissent against the party's manifesto promises.

The protest, deemed non-political by its participants, saw a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate students articulating their concerns about the potential repercussions of the proposed wealth distribution scheme. One of the students said: "Our agenda is against Congress' policy to loot our wealth, halve it, and increase the tax. They are trying to infiltrate our houses. We are trying to stop that from happening," encapsulating the sentiments of many demonstrators.

Expressing apprehension about the future trajectory of the nation under Congress rule, another protester warned of a potential "civil war-like situation" if the party ascends to power. Criticizing Congress for its alleged mismanagement over the past decades, the protester remarked, "Congress is trying to destroy the country with their policies since the last 70 years. If the Congress comes to power, then there will be a civil war-like situation in India."

The demonstrators voiced their discontent not only with the proposed wealth redistribution but also with Congress' broader political agenda, accusing the party of indulging in "appeasement politics" and failing to deliver on promises made in the past. Concerns were raised about the impact of such policies on ordinary citizens, with protesters asserting that the proposed system would only exacerbate existing problems rather than alleviate them.

As the protests continue, they underscore a growing sense of dissatisfaction among the youth towards Congress' electoral promises and highlight the importance of engaging with the concerns of the younger demographic in shaping future policies.
