UGC asks all HEIs to spread information about initiatives, reforms shared on UTSAH Portal
University Grant Commission (UGC) has asked all higher education institutes to share information regarding the UTSAH (Undertaking Transformative Strategies And Actions in Higher Education) Portal. The Commission has launched UTSAH (Undertaking Transformative Strategies And Actions in Higher Education) Portal to effectively track and support the implementation of various transformative reforms in higher education.

The Commission has launched UTSAH (Undertaking Transformative Strategies And Actions in Higher Education) Portal to effectively track and support the implementation of various transformative reforms in higher education.
In its latest notification, UGC said, “The UTSAH Portal will serve as a comprehensive platform providing detailed information about UGC's initiatives for qualitative reforms in higher education and it will also serve as a repository for Regulations, Guidelines and Frameworks issued by the UGC, ensuring easy accessibility for all stakeholders through hyperlinks. lt has been designed with a user-friendly interface to facilitate easy submission of initiatives, achievements and best practices adopted by your institution to implement qualitative reforms on your campuses with respect to NEP 2020.”
“Large numbers of HEIs carried out a number of initiatives/reforms. All such initiatives were reported at the national level last year in Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) that was organized between 7th to 9th July 2022 at Varanasi. Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is planning to organise second edition of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam coinciding with the 3rd Anniversary of NEP 2020 on 29th & 30th July 2023 at India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Ihe event is proposed to be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister,” it further added.
“Accordingly, you are requested to motivate and ensure that all HEls in your state to share all the initiatives/reforms with respect to NEP 2020 in UTSAH Portal. HEls can login to the UTSAH Portal using the AISHE code and furnish information on various activities falling under the identified thrust areas for reforms in higher education. Your active participation in this initiative will ensure promotion of initiatives by HEls of your state at the national level,” UGC said.
