UGC Invites Authors to Write in 12 Indian Languages for UG Books

The University Grants Commission (UGC) is extending an invitation to authors, critics, and faculty members from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to write textbooks in 12 Indian languages intended for undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Social Sciences. This initiative aims to enhance the academic environment by offering students top-notch learning materials in their native languages.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are sought from individuals interested in authoring books in the following Indian languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
How to apply to UGC to write UG textbooks in Indian Languages?
Interested candidates can fill out the Google form attached with the official notice. Individuals will have to provide their personal information including their name, email ID, address, mobile number, present position etc. in the form. Along with that, they must also decide in which course and in what language they will write the book. They can also provide the tentative title of the proposed book which is not mandatory.
