7115 courses have been offered with an enrollment of around 2.72 crore learners and 11.13 lakhs certificates through SWAYAM till now.

The University Grants Commission has asked universities and colleges to adopt courses offered through the SWAYAM platform. The commission has stated that students are interested in courses offered through the SWAYAM platform and want the credit earned through these courses to be transferred to their regular programmes.

As per a survey conducted by the Ministry of Education in May 2022 to understand students' outlook toward Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM), it was found that more than 70% of students (10,000+) spanning 338 Universities/Institutions across 29 states expressed interest in availing credit transfer of SWAYAM courses.

The UGC in March this year came up with the Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through SWAYAM Regulations which facilitates an institution to allow up to 40% of the total courses being offered in a particular programme in a semester through the online learning courses offered through SWAYAM Platform.

At present, 7115 courses have been offered with an enrollment of around 2.72 crore learners and 11.13 lakhs certificates have been issued through the platform. In addition, during the lockdown owing to the unprecedented COV1D 19 pandemic, SWAYAM Platform saw increased usage, nearly 2.5 lakh times UGC in its letter has reiterated that SWAYAM provides flexibility and opportunity to students to enrol in multiple courses and avail multiple certificates.
